Demo at Stansted airport

10 activists from Cambridge visited Stansted airport last Saturday in support of the Gateway to Hell campaign. We gave out hundreds of leaflets to passengers and staff to inform them of the disgusting trade that BAA and various airlines are involved in. After a few hours of leafleting a journalist turned up so we unfolded our banner for a photo call. Within minutes of having our banner out a representative for BAA and four armed police turned up!

We had a long discussion with The representative for BAA whilst other activists continued to give out leaflets after which we left the airport. The armed police who had been escorting us demanded our names and addresses under some 'by-law' but when we challenged the they backed down. We were finished for that day but we'll be back soon.
