TRAVEL AGENT DEMOS IN PETERBOROUGH
Activists from Peterborough, Bedford,
Milton Keynes, Leicestershire and Nottingham joined forces to shame and expose
Thomas Cook the travel industry giant.
The first port of call was their head office, a large contained complex called
the Thomas Cook Business Park, Conningsby Road, North Bretton, Peterborough.
Telephone 01733 417100 or 01733 416000.
Thomas Cook fly wild caught primates from Mauritius in to Britain with their
tourist flights - their destination is HLS and other labs where they will
be brain damaged, electrocuted, poisoned and mutilated. This company are aware
of this yet still profit from blood money. 5 activists were dressesd in blood
spattered lab coats, megaphones and banners were put to good use, cars
were leafleted as were members of the public to a good response. One idiot
member of staff came out to have an argument but he soon gave up when faced
with a barrage of facts from activists, he scuttled back to his office and
obviously had no idea what Thomas Cook were up to.
Both sides of the business were then covered when around 5 staff members
came out and did sick little monkey impressions, obviously having no idea
how cruel and dangerous vivisection was. They literally ran for cover
when they saw the protest focused on their offices. They were infomed of the
disasters of animal tested drugs and of the progress made without using animals
such as heart bypass procedure. Drums were pounded and the noise was terrific.
After about an hour and a half the rossers arrived first from Peterborough
and then Huntingdon.
Next target was a Thomas Cook travel agents in Sainsburys, Flaxland, South
Bretton Telephone 01733 416800. Activists proceeded into Sainsburys and leafletted
the Thomas cook area informing staff of the cruelty inflicted on transporting
primates and experimenting on them at torture labs. Ten minutes later the
rossers escorted protestors out of the building - how kind, seeing they
had achieved their goal.
Next job was to set up are banners and boards outside Sainsburys infoming
shoppers of Thomas Cook's dirty deals and urging them to bycott them. The
response from the public was brilliant - they accepted leaflets, chatted and honked
their horns. One mother and daughter gave a round of applause and shouted
'Keep up the good work!'
A good day, but not for Thomas Cook.
STOP YOUR DIRTY BUSINESS.
