Mauritius demo in Italy

Today the 5th of august we decided
to join the W35 Day also in Milano, Italy. We decided to first visit the Mauritius
consulate. We left some nice Gateway to Hell stickers around their reserved
car place and gave leaflets to people sitting in the bar of this huge building
where they have an office.
Nothing special, but tomorrow it's going to be a difficult day for them, since
they will be called by some Tour Operators interested in knowing more about
the horrible trade of monkeys from Mauritius to labs around the world .
Armed with english and italian leaflets and posters we entered the Hotelplan
posh offices asking to speak with someone in charge. Hotelplan is a leading
Tour Operator in Italy, the one wich is bringing the most tourists to Mauritius
from here. We entered 2 different floors of offices leafletting and asking
to speak with them, and they went a bit paranoid about activists browsing
around their rooms.
We spoke to a manager and explained the issue, which he didn't know anything
about even if he is directly in touch with Mauritius and often goes there.
We told him about a global boycott and how tour Operators can help put pressure
on the Mauritius governement, and how Thomas Cook is having protests and pressure
in the UK for example. He said he would speak with the consulate and find
out more, and ask also directly in Mauritius.
