Thomas Cook demo in London
Today was a day of nationwide demo's
against Thomas Cook, so in London about fifthteen of us turn up at Thomas
Cook's Marble Arch store which is their biggest store in London, to let them
know what we think of Thomas Cook's support of the evil primate trade.
Many leaflets were distributed and some people said they won't use Thomas
Cook until they stop supporting the primate trade. Also many people stopped
and signed the Gateway to Hell petition.
Every time we turn up the store manager is constantly looking out the window
and coming out of the store and whinging about protesters standing on 'her'
property. There are monkeys being ripped away from
their homeland in Mauritius probably as we speak and all she is worried about
is her four foot piece of land. Well she and Thomas Cook know what to do.
After a few hours we moved onto another Thomas Cook store on High Street Kensington.
Again many leaflets were handed out and staff looked out the window and you
could tell they were shocked to find
out what their company is involved with.
We finished off with a good noisy demo at a store in Knightsbridge called
Joseph. Joseph are part of a large chain selling real fur products.
