Thomas Cook demo in Dublin

Today ARAN organized a peaceful protest in Dublin with today's target being Thomas Cook because of their trade connections with Mauritius and their constant trapping of wild primates and shipping them to countries worldwide for experiments. People don't know what happens in laboratories and don't know that primates are torn from the wild or even bred for experiments, so today we brought our peaceful but informative protest into the shop where customers were trying to discuss holiday plans. Two activists entered the shop chanting BOYCOTT THOMAS COOK and STOP THE TORTURE - BOYCOTT MAURITIUS.

whilst handing out leaflets, staff overpowered the peaceful activists and we continued the protest outside the small store on Dame Street in Dublin's
busy city center along with friends and local Dublin activists. The store manager of Thomas Cook was pretty aggressive and threatened us several times
if we did not leave, shortly afterwards the gardai came along where she was screaming into their faces ARREST THEM ARREST THEM and when they told her we were doing nothing wrong she said THIS IS RIDICULOUS I'M GETTING A COURT INJUNCTION.

To be honest it was funny to watch, we wonder what her idea and meaning of "professional" means? But it was even better seeing people turn away from THOMAS COOK and going elsewhere - but the true reality is because of countries like Mauritius capturing primates and shipping and flying them around the world, these gentle intelligent creatures will continue to die a horrible cruel, lonely death - but no, not if we can stop them, and the good news is that more and more people are speaking out against experiments on
animals because they know its morally and scientifically wrong, thanks to everyone who supported today - we'll be back again!
