Thomas Cook demos in Belgium

2006 Has just begun and if Thomas Cook thought that the campaign in Belgium would have stopped at New Year, they were so wrong. Our first action was at a big holiday fair in Aarschot. TC and his Belgian sister company Maretours were prominently present at this fair. Activists from Respect voor Dieren Belgium were leafletting outside, hundreds of flyers were distributed so that everyone could read about TC's connection with animal torture.

At the end of our action 2 TC/Maretours big shots came towards us and began to swear at us. Language, language gentlemen... One of the 2 was in his own words the boss of Maretours. You wouldn't believe the remarks this guy made. He compared us with the "stupid people of Mauritius"... no respect for humans or animals!

When we tried to walk away the other guy began to physically abuse one of our activists. How low can you fall TC, agressive behaviour towards peaceful activists... no respect for humans or animals!

But if TC thinks that we're gonna stop, they have another thing coming. After today we are much more determined then ever. You can use violence against us, you can try to take our democratic right to demonstrate away from us, but you will never win! We, the defenders of innocent animals, shall never give up and we always win!
