Round up of masses
of Primate
trade demos in Holland
Here's an update about all our activities
for the monkeys captured in Mauritius and send to labs.
- The 7th of January we informed hundreds of
people at a Thomas Cook in the busy streets of The hague. A new area for us
- just a start of even more demos spread over all the big cities in the Netherlands.
Ofcourse the employees tried to fool us with lies. "we don't do Mauritius,"
how strange it is when you call them it's not a problem at all!
- The 6th of january we went for a surprise demo
in Hoofddorp. The Headquarter is situated here and what a panic! People running
around and we're shouting through
a megaphone. Some time ago they staffed an extra security guy for two weeks.
We are all over you Thomas Cook! Boycott Mauritius.
- 27th of december. Activists in Rotterdam are
focusing on Thomas Cook and are keeping up the pressure. People are really
interested and taking leaflets, as we speaking we just had to order another
20.000 leaflets, as the others are all gone!
- 23th of december. Thomas Cook is well represented
in Rotterdam with around 8 travel shops but so are we! Another day of activism.
With a megaphone we informed the people and ofcourse the employees. It's time
you stand up against your boss.
- 22th of december. Today it was up to Amsterdam.
On a busy street and thousand of passers-by, our banner and placards got all
the attention it deserves. A friend of a Thomas Cook came to threaten on.
The scene he made was just what we needed! Thanks for bringing the spotlights
on us and Thomas Cook! You know what we want Thomas Cook - but I will
spell it out again if you like. Boycot Mauritius. Close down the monkeyfarms.
- 16th of december. The Rotterdam activists decided
to visit all the Thomas Cook travelshops in the area. These people know what
they are doing! Today they went for two, the busy ones in the innercity.
Can't you see this will be a PR-nightmare for your travelcompany?
15th of december. Two more Thomas Cook travelshops
have been demoed in Schiedam and Hoogvliet. Thomas Cook is booking 50.000
travels each year to Mauritius. They earn up to 125 million euros from Mauritius
travelers. You can earn all the money you want Thomas Cook, but you get us
for free!
9th of december. In Belgium activists decided
to surprise the employees at the headoffice in Gent. For over an hour the
megaphone disturbed the working place, people looking outside and couldn't
concentrate anymore. This activist virus is spreading - better do something
about it.
8th of december. In Groningen people were informed
about Thomas Cook's connections with the government of Mauritius. The government
who thinks it's okay to handle out permissions to capture wild monkeys so
sick minds can use them as research tools. Dealing with these kind of people
is dealing with us.
7th of december. In Drachten activists stood
their ground at another travelshop. The employees were all looking a bit nervous
and didn't know what to do. With no customers
inside and us outside it's getting a bit chilly, isn't it?
