Mauritius demo in Italy

On friday the 28th a group of 4 activists dcided to visit the
Mauritius embassy in Rome and tell them what they think about the primate trade and vivisection.

The embassy is in a small apartment in an anonymous not-so-rich building. We had a loud and really noisy demo to get the message across that we will not stand by and let Mauritius send thousands of monkeys to their deaths. The consul came and was confronted with the demo which was excellent. A lot of leaflets were distributed.

The consul tried to calm things down talking and saying he had already contacted the Mauritius government about this issue, but then tried to deny the existence of the farms in the island and also the reason monkeys are bred for, wich could not be vivisection... at this point he was shamed and warned that this is just the beginning of demos for Mauritius and their italian partners.
