THOMAS COOK DEMO IN BOURNEMOUTH
Today we took a trip to Thomas Cook to offer them education and ask them to assist the Gateway to Hell campaign. T.C are the only high street travel agents to sell holidays to Mauritius where monkeys are caught in the wild and shipped to labs. We think its important to use the fact we are an island to our advantage, if we can stop these primates entering the UK, we can halt cruel experimentation.

Our demo consisted of two phases. Team one, posed as customers of Thomas Cook. They entered the store and browsed through brochures, leaving educational leaflets in the relevant sections in an attempt to persuade Thomas Cook customers to think twice about where they book their holiday. As Team one left the store, Team two entered calling upon the staff at Thomas Cook to boycott Mauritius whilst lab animals are being sent to their deaths.

As leaflets were distributed the staff acted surprised to hear about Mauritius, but were unsympathetic none the less. Team two were evicted from the store, but the staff were still unaware about the dozens of leaflets left inside their holiday brochures.

We will continue to campaign against this cruel trade and urge everyone to demonstrate against Thomas Cook.

THOMAS COOK ACTION IN SOUTHAMPTON
We were horrified to hear that Thomas Cook has refused to boycott Mauritius, and continue to sell holidays there despite being faced with the cruel facts regarding wild caught primates being imported for vivisection.

We sent off for Thomas Cook leaflets and as soon as they arrived we visited a branch in Southampton.
Leaflets were left in lots of holiday brochures and also conveniently placed in leaflet holders around the store. Stickers depicting the reality of vivisection were also artistically placed in store. This was all done despite the fact five employees were all sat just feet away from us.

We left the store undetected, and just happened to be passing again a few hours later when it was clear they still hadn't noticed the leaflets or stickers we had left them, as they were all visible to us from outside the store!
