Demo
at Mauritian Embassy in Brussels
In this week of international action against the Mauritian
monkey farms, Belgian activists held a noisy demo outside the Belgian
embassy of Mauritius (Bollandistenstraat 68, Etterbeek/Brussel).
Once again we asked for a meeting with the ambassodor Mr. Gunessee, but
once again he declined. Why are you so scared of meeting us, we only want
to talk to you about the suffering that is going on in the country you
represent.
Every year thousands of primates are caught in the wild, imprisoned at
monkey farms in your country Mauritius and then flown to their horrific
death in laboratories like HLS and Covance.
Mr. Gunessee, until you and your government stop this evil trade, there
is blood on your hands!
While we stood there all windows were closed, except for one on the upper
floor. Taping our protest, animal killers? Let's hope you bought enough
tape, because we'll visit your embassy every month until you close the
monkey prisons.
