Embassies of Nepal and Mauritius get the full treatment again.

1. Embassy of Nepal

Yet again Gateway to Hell activists returned to the Nepalese embassy in Brussels to shame Nepal for their involvement in the sordid monkey business. For all their claims about stopping their exploitation of monkeys, the American funded monkey farms are still there and the monkeys are still imprisonned awaiting an uncertain fate!

Once again the Ambassador invited us in to discuss the issue further, [we've had at least 3 unproductive meetings here in Brussels alone], but the time for talking is over. We've heard enough of their lies and now it's time they release and rehabilitate the innocent monkeys they ripped from the wild to satisfy the bribes given to the previous king. Our demands are clear, we're no longer interested in their shameful excuses, denials and stalling tactics.

It is utterly disgraceful that Nepal's newly elected government doesn't have the courage to enact the wishes of their people and save the sacred monkeys from vivisection. The elected government need not be religious to respect the religious sensibilities of the people they represent, but if they are to be considered as credible democractic representatives they are obliged to implement the will of the vast majority of their people, [90% of Nepal's population are either Hindu or Buddhist, and therefore religiously sensitive to the plight of the monkeys]. Fortunately for the new Nepalese government, the vast majority of Nepali's are blissfully unaware that primates are subjected to such evil torture at the hands of "scientists", not to mention the vile monkey farms in their own country, [which are being supported by the democratic government they recently elected], to provide the victims!

The latest news the campaign has received from Nepal is that the monkeys have been "paid for" and therefore are the "property" of the American researchers and the new government is unable to intervene to release the monkeys. The Gateway to Hell campaign will never accept that innocent creatures can be considered as comodities to be bought or sold, and they are certainly not research "tools" to be tortured, killed and discarded in evil, unscientific "research". The campaign against Nepal will continue to escalate until the monkeys have been freed and the Americans have been kicked out of Nepal for good!

Our message to the Nepalese government is clear, either release the monkeys and enact proper legal protection to prevent their future exploitation or prepare to suffer the consequences of the global exposure to your crimes against your sacred wildlife! Each monkey is worth $300, [according to their deal with the devil], but how much do they stand to lose in terms of impact to their tourist trade???

We promise to ensure that anything they gain from their involvement in the sordid monkey business will be far outweighed by the damage to their reputation and losses to their tourism industry!

2. Embassy of Mauritius

After protesting at Nepal's embassy in Brussels we felt it was important not to forget the other exporters of monkeys to the vivisection industry, so we decided it was time to pay another visit to one of the worst culprits...Mauritius!

As always, all the shutters were closed and the embassy appeared to be a fortress, but as hard as they try they will never escape the cries of the innocent animals they send to their deaths in laboratories worldwide. However, as a rare treat, this time Ambassador Gunessee was outside waiting for the protest to begin when we arrived....so naturally he was shamed for his countries crimes and he quickly scurried inside to the jeers of activists.

Ambassador Gunessee once claimed to Belgian activists that he was a "good Hindu", however his country's involvement in the monkey trade shows this to be a blatant lie! Monkeys are considered to be sacred to Hindus, they are said to be a representation of the Hindu god Hanuman [the god of power and strength], and are openly worshipped. No "good Hindu" would tolerate such barbaric treatment of sacred animals, but despite his claims Ambassador Gunessee is both a liar and a coward. He can hide in his embassy, but he cannot hide from the crimes his government is perpertraing against innocent animals and we will ensure he is held to account.

Mauritius has long exported innocent monkeys to Europe and the USA for sordid experiments, and as one of the premier exporters of "wild-caught" monkeys they remain a top target for the Gateway to Hell campaign. Passers-by were shocked and disgusted to discover that the small island of Mauritius is responsible for such unimaginable cruelty to such highly evolved animals and many voiced their support for the campaign. The demonstration was even joined by 3 locals who heard the protest and upon learning about Mauritius' crimes immediately joined in the chanting.

The Belgian government has recently declared a desire to end all experiments on monkeys in Belgium, and Belgian activists will not tolerate the presence of monkey abusers like Mauritius or Nepal!

Either stop exploiting monkeys or get out of our country,
G2H Belgium
