Activists at Nepal embassy in Geneva
Thursday, october 23rd - Geneva, Switzerland. People holding posters of the campaign, and reprensentatives of both LausAnimaliste and the
Collectif antispéciste de Genève went to the embassy in order to talk about the situation of the monkeys in Nepal. As both associations had
received a few months ago an official letter from the Nepalese government guaranteeing that the monkeys were not going to be exported to the U.S.A, they wanted to ask that the monkeys be freed immediately from the farms.
They met the attaché of the ambassador, who received a letter signed by both associations, a file containing pictures of the monkey farms in
Nepal, of monkeys being tortured in laboratories, and several DVDs of the short film available on gatewaytohell.net. The attaché promised to
transmit this to the ministry in charge, as he did previously, and he reiterated that he deeply disliked the situation in which the monkeys were.
The activist then headed for the UN place of Geneva, where traditionally international protests are being held. There they stood in protest and
gave out leaflets about the campaigns.
More actions are being planned and e-mails of protest are still being sent each day by a lot of people.
