Ambassy Nepal demo in Brussels

On friday the 25th of April Dutch and Belgian activists did a demonstration at the ambassy of Nepal in Brussels, as Nepal plans to export monkeys for the American vivisection industry. With posters, banners, drums and megaphones we were loudly and visibly present, and made sure that the ambassadors could not ignore our demonstration. After about 30 minutes, two of us were invited to go inside and have a talk with one of the ambassadors, who proved to be rather ignorant in regard to his government's plans to export monkeys for the vivisection industry. While we politely informed the ambassador of these plans, the demonstration continued outside of the building, in order to remind the ambassador and his colleagues of what they can expect if their government's plans will actually be carried out. We will not tolerate the emergence of another supplier of live animals to the vivisection industry, and will continue our demonstrations until the Nepalese goverment agrees to abandon its plans.
