French activists confront Nepal once again

On Friday the 25th of July activists from the Coalition Anti-Vivisection were back protesting at the Nepalese embassy in Paris to denounce the clandestine monkey farms and the illegal exportation of the monkeys due to start in September. As is now customary, we also had an information stall as part of the demo in order to provide interested passers-by the maximum information about Nepal's sordid plans.

The many people that stopped to sign our petition were surprised and disgusted about the dreadful monkey trade in preparation that would mean a life of hell for these sacred animals. American researchers got poachers
to capture wild monkeys and breed them in secret farms in order to import them to the United States, all with licences from the Nepalese Government.
These creatures are supposed to bring new blood into American breeding centers and then end up in animal testing labs throughout the world.
Through this petition, people vowed never to visit Nepal again until the monkey farms are closed!

At first Nepalese embassies across the world pretended not to know about this trade and promised to tell their government about it, now they tell us that the monkeys are protected from export to laboratories by CITES legislation...which sadly isn't true, CITES only protects animals from extinction and not from the ruthless vivisectors!

It is urgent to close down the monkey farms and set the animals free so we shall continue taking action until we have proof that this horrible business is put to an end. The only way to stop the Nepalese monkey exports is to abolish the unconstitutional Wildlife Breeding Act (2003), and we will keep returning to shame Nepal until this happens!!!
