Berlin joins the protest for the monkeys in Nepal

As the Embassador of Nepal in Berlin had no time for us during our demonstrations last week, he invited us to come to the embassy this tuesday for a meeting that lasted app. half an hour. His assistant/secretary is very much on our side and supports our efforts where she can. So she also talked to the Embassador and her colleagues in the embassy before and informed them about our campaign. The Embassador was also very open and nice and sent all the information he had including the youtube video from an laboratory to the Nepal government and awaits an answer within the next days. He also asked us about other countries, which of them deals with monkeys and if there are also campaigns against these coutries. We told them, that there are also campaigns re: China and Mauritius and that India and Bangladesh have finished their trade with monkeys. Both the Embassador and his assistant told us that the Nepal government registered our protests around the world a lot and worried and that they have sent already message dossiers to all consulates and embassies around the world. But a main problem could be that the government has been elected only two months ago and that they do not have enough force and order yet, also about the police there. The government is not completely formed and set up yet. The Embassador did not know, if the farms are illegal, but we told him about what the Belgian embassador said. But the German Embassador promised to support us and give us notice when he has new information from the government in Nepal.
